There be Verb - Verbo Haver (=Existir)

Hello, student!

Hoje vamos aprender a falar sobre coisas que existem ao nosso redor. Nós usamos o verbo there be (verbo haver = existir).

Para falarmos de algo no singular, usamos There is - ou a forma abreviada There's.

E no plural usamos There are.

Look at the picture. What's there in the picture? O que há na imagem?

There is a notebook. (Há um caderno.) - singular (um caderno)

There's a pen. (Há uma caneta.) - singular (uma caneta)

There are two pencils. (Há dois lápis.) - plural (dois lápis)

There is = There's - usado no singular (apenas um, uma)

There are - usado no plural (dois ou mais)
